![]() NYFA Australia requires students, faculty and staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 except in cases of medical contraindication or when participating in the NYFA Australia COVID-19 Testing program. At the discretion of the COVID Safe Team there may be instances where testing is requested. NYFA Australia may increase or reduce the frequency of testing as needed. |
![]() NYFA Australia already benefits from its small class sizes, usually 8-20 students. This maximises student and faculty interaction, and allows us to practice physical distancing more easily than many schools. If required, NYFA Australia may also stagger class start times to lower the number of people entering our space at any given time. |
![]() Wearing an appropriate face mask is considered one of the most effective ways to reduce the risk of spreading and contracting the virus. Depending on the level of transmission in the campus region, the extent to which each campus is fully vaccinated, and government department directives, employees and students may be required to wear an authorised face mask whenever on campus and attending indoor NYFA Australia programs with specific exceptions. An authorised face mask is considered to be a multi-layered mask (such as a 3-ply surgical mask, KN95 or N95 mask) to offer the best protection against COVID-19. Coverings such as bandanas and “gaiter masks” or other facial coverings not of comparable quality are not considered authorised face masks. |
![]() All classrooms, equipment, and facilities will be disinfected regularly with hospital-grade disinfectant, including high-touch surfaces. Non-touch hand sanitiser dispensers have been thoughtfully placed throughout the campus. Anti-bacterial wipes are available in common areas, offices, and classrooms, and individuals are encouraged to wipe down communal surfaces they’ve touched. |
![]() NYFA Australia has developed a special mobile app that all students and employees currently use to report any symptoms that could be indicative of COVID-19 each day they are scheduled to be on campus or at a NYFA Australia activity. Upon arrival, to gain access to campus each student and employee must show the health monitor their app approval indicating that they have been cleared to enter. This allows NYFA Australia to monitor and support the health of the community and limit possible exposure to the virus on campus. It also helps with the important work of contact tracing in the event that there is a case of COVID-19 in our community. Individuals who are experiencing any of the symptoms that have been identified as related to possible COVID-19 infection are not to be permitted on campus until they have been tested and cleared. |
