Saturday 8-Week Scene Study & Showreel Workshop

In this weekend workshop, students are trained to acquire the skills to transform a scripted scene into an on-camera performance. This involves learning to analyse a script and character development, with a focus on genre and emotional range within your performance.

Upon completion of the workshop, students will emerge with a professional showreel scene that meets industry standards. The scene is filmed by our professional crew, using top-of-the-line cinema quality cameras. Walking away with a professional showreel scene can be your stepping stone to an industry ready portfolio that showcases your talent and potential to a casting director, talent manager and/or for use on your own online promotional platforms.

Hands-on Training: Each week, students have the opportunity to receive on-camera training and perform during their acting and scene work in every class at our purpose-built facility on the Gold Coast.

Comprehensive Curriculum: Over the course of the 8 week workshop, you will spend your Saturday’s delving deep into scene study technique. You’ll also learn to craft a compelling 2-3 showreel scene that showcases your unique talents.

Small Class Size: We keep our workshop class sizes small, ensuring that each participant receives individual attention and ample time to work on their craft under the close guidance of an industry professional instructor.

Saturday Convenience: We understand how busy Monday-Friday can be, so we’ve designed our workshop to be conveniently scheduled on Saturday, allowing our students the space to learn with less distraction from their everyday lives. Spend three (3) hours each Saturday immersing yourself in the world of screen acting without disrupting your weekday commitments.

Our teachers will help you craft your scene considering your level of experience.

Workshop Schedule
30 hours total
Week 1-6: 9.30am-12.30pm each Saturday
Week 7-8: 9:30am-4:30pm each Saturday (filming showreel scenes)
