In most cases, to study at the New York Film Academy Australia’s Gold Coast campus, international students will require an Australian Student Visa (Subclass 500).
Once an international student has been accepted into their New York Film Academy Australia CUA51020 - Diploma of Screen and Media or CUA60620 - Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media program, they are sent an international student Letter of Offer containing an invoice with a breakdown of semester tuition.
Upon acceptance to the program, a 25% deposit of total program tuition fee will be required to issue your applicant's Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). This will reserve their place and is applied to the first semester tuition.
Applicants must bring their Letter of Offer, Confirmation of Enrolment and Overseas Health Cover (OSHC) to their visa appointment at the Australian Immigration or Embassy in their home country, who will determine student visa issuance.
The length of time it takes to get a visa appointment varies in different countries. Therefore we encourage you apply early.
Requirements for this type of visa are approved by Australian immigration on an individual basis.
NYFA Australia does not issue CoE for Short Term Workshops. International students must have their own valid entry for admission.
Our International Student Office at the New York Film Academy Australia is here to assist students from outside Australia studying at NYFA Australia’s campus in Gold Coast.
