Talent Based Scholarship

New York Film Academy Australia (NYFA Australia) now offers eligible domestic and international students an opportunity to demonstrate their talents for consideration of a Talent Based Scholarship.

The awarding of the talent based scholarship is contingent upon an interview with the faculty, an audition or portfolio review and successful enrollment at NYFA Australia.

Auditions may be in-person or virtual.

Eligibility

• You must meet the admission requirements for domestic or international students.
• Be accepted as a full-time student undertaking 15 units in CUA51020 Diploma of Screen & Media or 16 units in CUA60620 Advanced Diploma of Screen & Media in the following discipline: Filmmaking or Acting for Film.
• Available for September 2024 intake.

How To Apply

• Complete your admission application.
• Return your signed letter of offer and deposit.
• Receive an invitation to audition (acting for film) or portfolio review (filmmaking).
• A panel will review your scholarship application.
• You will receive written correspondence on the outcome.

Terms & Conditions

• The maximum awarded amount is up to $7,000 AUD Advanced Diploma programs and $6,000 AUD for Diploma programs.
• The amount is split across terms. The deduction will be applied by the census date of each term of the program.
• You must maintain good academic standing.
• You must agree and maintain your ambassador duties.
• The scholarship provides a discount applied to tuition fees only.
• The scholarship is non-transferable and non-refundable.
• The amount of your award is fixed and will not be increased by future academic performance.
• Deferral of scholarship is not permitted.

Scholarship applicants are required to:

• Formally accept the Scholarship by the due date. If you do not accept the scholarship by the due date, the scholarship will be withdrawn.
• Pay all outstanding tuition fees by given deadlines. Non-payment of fees may result in the withdrawal of scholarship. In which case, the student would be charged the outstanding balance.

The determination of the scholarship is strictly the decision of New York Film Academy Australia. All results are final.

New York Film Academy Australia reserves the right to revoke this award based on academic or behavioural violations.

To audition or to have your portfolio reviewed for the New York Film Academy Australia, individuals must submit an application for the Advanced Diploma or Diploma program in Filmmaking or Acting for Film and be accepted into the program. There is a $65 (AUD dollars) non-refundable application fee required unless you are a domestic student with fee exemption.
